About the Olympiad
The World Olympiad on Sustainable Development and Environmental Protection is an international educational initiative dedicated to encouraging students to explore, understand, and address the challenges of sustainable development and environmental protection.
The Olympiad provides a platform for talented young people to demonstrate their knowledge, research abilities, creativity, and innovative thinking while contributing to the development of practical solutions for global environmental challenges.
By bringing together students from different countries and educational backgrounds, the Olympiad promotes international cooperation, scientific excellence, and responsible citizenship.
Objectives of the Olympiad

Final chance to qualify
Three qualifying rounds will take place in November, February and April. The most successful students will be invited to the final live round in the second half of August 2027.
A large number of prizes will be awarded to the most successful participants at the final level. Applications for the November qualifying cycle begin on August 15.
Final Round and Awards
The Final Round brings together the most successful participants from all qualifying stages and provides an opportunity to present knowledge, research, and innovative solutions before an international audience.
A significant number of awards, recognitions, and prizes have been prepared for the most successful participants at the final stage of the Olympiad.
Registration
Applications for the November Qualifying Round open on August 15.
Participants are encouraged to complete their registration within the designated application period and review all competition requirements and guidelines.
